The Montana Reining Horse Association (MRHA) Stallion Stakes auction runs January 17 to February 17. The auction received donated breedings for 2012 from:

The MRHA Stallion Stakes sponsors an open and nonpro futurity, run concurrently with the MRHA Big Classic Show. The get of stallions who sell through the auction are able to compete as 3 year olds in both 2012 and 2016 and the auction proceeds provide added money for the Stallion Stakes Classes. In addition, stallion owners receive 10% of the added money if the offspring of their stallion wins a stakes class. Owners who purchase a breeding through the stallion stakes get a 20% discount on the stakes class entry fee for the colt produced from the auction breeding.

About 10% of the stallion breedings auctioned by Perfect Horse Auctions are sold to international buyers.
