Auction Stallions: Are stallions that have donated a breeding for auction by MRHA. They are listed on our web page and any advertising that is conducted. Get of the subscribed stallions will receive two years of eligibility, for three year olds the following year and again for three year olds from the foaling year. Example: you subscribe the stallion for 2010 all three year old get are eligible for the 2010 SS class, and then again in 2014 the three year old get will be eligible for the SS class. The Stallion Stakes Futurity class will run concurrently with other Open and Non-Pro Futurity classes at the show determined by the MRHA. To maintain eligibility for the Stallion Stakes, the stallion owner must participate in the Stallion Service Auction each year, and the stallion must sell. If the stallion fails to sell the owner may purchase back the breeding for the same listed auction price, and therefore make the stallion still eligible.

Rules & Contract

1.One breeding to each donated stallion will be sold to the highest bid equal to or greater than the Minimum bid.

2. The minimum bid for each donated stallion will be equal to one - half (1/2) the advertised breeding fee for the 2009 breeding season exclusive of chute fees, booking fees, semen Shipping expenses and any other additional fees.

3. Bids will be accepted until Monday February 15, 2009 . The successful bids will be announced to the winners by telephone.

4. Mail in Bids will also be accepted until February 15, 2009.

5. The successful bidders and the corresponding stallion owners or agents will be notified in writing by mail.

6. Stallions, if any, not sold by the bid date will remain available on a first come first served basis at the Minimum bid price until the annual MRHA convention where they will be auctioned.

7. Successful bidders will be responsible for chute fee, booking fees, shipped semen expenses, mare care, veterinary expenses, and any other expenses per the stallion breeding contract i.e. the bid is for the breeding fee only.

8. Each successful bidder will be bond by the terms of the breeding con tract provided by the stallion owner or agent.

9. The MRHA shall not be liable to the stallion owners or mare owners, or their respective agents, for any consequences or damages which either or both may sustain in connection with the breeding transaction which is subject to this agreement.

10. The MRHA reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids made.

11. There will be no refunds on successful bids.
